A growing hobby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love and giving go hand in hand. God loved and he gave.  So I fell in love recently and I got a gift. Yeah!!! I have been planning to get a camera for the longest time and Christmas came with a camera and a boy, how cool is that? So I am a Christmas lover that starts smelling Christmas from November, makes sure I have lights even if I don't get a tree. So you must understand that a getting gift that is exactly what I want in a season I love is the best thing after party jollof and soggy dodo with fried dry pepper beef. So this is me transitioning from phone photography to actual photography. Phone photography helped me develop an eye and determine what I really enjoy. I cannot see enough of the sun, there is just something about taking pictures of the sun that makes me happy. Sunset in Jalingo, Taraba Nigeria. The morale of the story is start from where you are, be intentional and make sure you fan to flame the gift of God on your inside. Looking forward to an amaz...

Filling your love account

Love accounts are very different from the usual accounts we are used to. I reason that love accounts operate on a hybrid of dos and donts that other accounts don't have.   They don't all operate the same because the different account holders have different languages and reactions to the same thing. Like a bank we all have to have two accounts the one from their end and the one from yours. In the last month I am learning that love is not enough and on days that it happens its the credit in your love account that saves the day. The thing about it is that you have to be intentional about saving so that you have what to withdraw. I read a story once about a couple that saved a physical dollar for every nice thing they experienced and on the bad days the narrative on the deposit stub saved the day. This thing called love sometimes you act in an entirely opposite direction and your heart is in a good place but every single turn reeks of wrong. The irony of it is whether y...

Help !!!!!!!!! I'm friends with Magicians

Sometimes we do not understand the value of the people God brings our way and their purpose. Some are Indomie instant noodles, short and sweet like dessert and some are like pre booked al carte fancy restaurant meals. They are for special occasion with fine silver ware and matching plates. But there are some that are constant like Agege bread, never going out of style. They can go with beans, oil, coke, butter, jam, depending on how you feel. For people that have a lot of people walking through their lives under different titles, you get to sense the extra in people and celebrate it.  In my life I have encouragers, those kind of friends that stick with you, your ride or die and I also have some hybrids. In business we are ride or die, in other areas we are like night and day. The important thing is to know where each fits and appreciate their uniqueness.  I have some friends that validated my childhood dreams, they developed my sense of adventure that everyt...

What David are you? - Everyone needs to prepare

I don't like waking up early Especially on Saturdays, you know the rest day described in Genesis 1 where God wears a bikini and takes out his sun hat to play beach soccer with the angels, that Saturday!! I give an excuse to everyone I meet that I'm not a morning person I can work from noon till midnight. The problem is every time i hear those things about the fact that if you sleep 8hrs a day you can conveniently sleep away 1/3 of your life, then they add the TV time, Social media time, hangout time, short break time and at the end of the day you only end up using 10minutes of your life constructively per day. I was telling my friend that i have been feeling lax about my response to life and how there has been no dexterity in the quality of my work and this was the basis for the conversation that ensued Imagine if David just went to the camp, dropped the bread and left without finding out what was amiss with Goliath. Imagine if David after being anointed was carried int...

Cover

Tanzania 2017 Cover me I want to run and hide,  cover me don't let them see the scars,  how will you know where to heal, when you don't know where to go? "Drown the noise", "find a rhythm" How does that even work when you have become deaf from dancing to a single drum? How do you learn to dance when you have your feet on replay to a rhythm you don't know? Can I just sit here and the water flow Drowning my fears and filling my soul "You'll get whitewashed", they said "At least I will feel something", I think Because the lifelessness of indifference Generated by 3 worded " I don't know" Makes life slip by to maintain the peace While your heart has in clear details, the catastrophic mistake you may or may not be making

How do you see you?

I am a fixer ( the Go to guy) cum researcher. My super power is welfare and cooking . Outside work and church I would be on the road 366 days of the 365 in a year. There is something about moving and travelling that is pure joy. I am a chess player, an upcoming skyline / landscape phone photographer (@b4best on Instagram). I like seeing plans come to life. Christmas some years ago I met a guy in one of this church mingling things ( I feel a particular way about these things) and this was how I described myself. Fast forward two years down the line and my opinion of myself has been weathered by the storms of the turbulent things that happen in a work space, life and growing up. I catch the first glimpse of hope when I decide to go to the blueprint of how. Worst case scenario, they will give me seven steps to being a woman ( If it ever existed). As i walk into the meeting area i see people in their lock up mode all tense and wondering like me wha...

Daisy

My flag flew at half mast this week. I lost a friend. It still sounds strange because we have not seen in the longest age. Everyone I mean everyone had something nice and pretty to say about her. I don't know if I have ever seen her cry. She was an encourager, a friend, a sister. Daisy : "fresh, wholesome, and energetic" image and that truly was our Daisy. When I think of the thing we will miss about her, I also think of the things we are grateful for in her life. Two weeks ago I would have been scared but today and now, I have peace that she is alright. God loves her (present continuous) and for me that is enough. I celebrate her life, her love, her warmth, her legacy, her kids, her home and even as every time I remember her I just cry there's this deep seated loss like I will no longer hear her praise God for her family milestones, I will no longer see her smile in mischief over something new. What i remember is her swaying with block s...
