I don't like waking up early
Especially on Saturdays, you know the rest day described in Genesis 1 where God wears a bikini and takes out his sun hat to play beach soccer with the angels, that Saturday!!
I give an excuse to everyone I meet that I'm not a morning person I can work from noon till midnight.
The problem is every time i hear those things about the fact that if you sleep 8hrs a day you can conveniently sleep away 1/3 of your life, then they add the TV time, Social media time, hangout time, short break time and at the end of the day you only end up using 10minutes of your life constructively per day.
I was telling my friend that i have been feeling lax about my response to life and how there has been no dexterity in the quality of my work and this was the basis for the conversation that ensued
Imagine if David just went to the camp, dropped the bread and left without finding out what was amiss with Goliath.
Imagine if David after being anointed was carried into the house and treated like a king? Shebi everybody saw the anointing service? The prophet of Isreal came to his father's house, tried to anoint everyone and then the oil chose him
1. He wouldn't have been the one to carry the bread to his brother's so he would not have heard the challenge
2. He would not have been the one in the field the day the lion came and the bear came
3. He wouldn't have known that his sling could knock down things bigger than him
In our lives, what are we breeding? Are we breeding a David that boasts about his anointing and does nothing?
Are we the David that takes a picture of the anointing oil on our head, turns our clothing that day into a mantle and then hang it as a relic. If this is you, get ready you are one of the captives that Goliath and his men will be taking away.
You are about to become a story book character of those that God selects from the crowd. In the midst of all the qualified, buff, fair soldiers he chose you a pack zero with no military might and a pack zero over them.
Imagine if David did not apply himself in his service to his father, sure he is a share holder in the family business?
1. He would not have killed a lion and a bear ( we win some battles to win a war, will he come and kill himself?) The servants would have come to do it and worst case scenario the family would have lost one or two sheep out of a hundred since its a LION!!! chasing him.
2. He would not have known he needed smooth stones
3. He would not have known how best to use a sling
4. he would have tried to use Saul's armor
A pastor said the parts of our destiny we don't walk in are far more than the ones we feel that the devil is contending with us for. We know how the story ends with David, do you think they would have come to look for David that Samuel the prophet anointed to play for the king or defeat Goliath?
What victories are you destroying by being safe, coordinated, right, not being ready?
