Chronicles of a love walk 1

Lagos Sunset (@b4best 2015) Hello Everyone. I have been going through a lot lately. As an individual, a budding career person, a friend, woman, sister and really I am learning that it is necessary for me to put to use all the learning, training and experiences that I have inside. I have been learning and growing painful sometimes, but i know that at the end of the day I win and come out on top. I have had a Myles Munroe's snippet on my phone that I play every morning as I commute to work:  "Everything that I need to be great and awesome is in me,  the tools are ready, the future is ready, the execution is up to me." We hear of a refiner's fire and I for one thought it was probably just a buffer cousin of cooking fire with a few burns and scrapes we will be fine, but I am learning that they are not even neighbours. Even though as I type this, I am grateful for God's mercy because if He decides to blast out everything once, I do not think I would ...

The certainty of a lineage................................... a decade plus later.

Today i was honored to hang with my father, brother and friend about 10 years after we met in the University of Ibadan. People got husbands, jobs and other things like that on Chapel ground and a number of times i wondered what was going on till I got in the flow. Now in retrospect I wish I had made more use of my time there. I am however grateful for the seeds that were sown on such a fertile ground. Never in a million years did I know that the things i did just because will mean so much. Now i get to hang with cool highly influential people because then God decided that my path will cross with some great men. I have always been a hider you know back pews and all. But today as I sat in front, it was a rare and special honor because I knew I was part of a legacy. I was reminded of who i am and where I am coming from scalliwag and things. I used to hear that you will not remember the clothes you get or the things you have but all I remember for a decade is a life. I don't remem...

GOLD DIGGER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey guys, *dusting cobwebs*  Yeah it has been a long break. I missed writing. So for sometime i have been feeling dull and honestly not the 'everybody hates me, nobody likes me kind'. But the 'we are on the grind, we are fast and furious' but at the close of work, the to do list still has many unchecked to dos and you go 'well i can't deal'. This is then followed by the 'one day at a time' thing to 'just live in the moment' and wham! a month has gone and you have not really moved. The worst hit was my fellowship. Yeah i'm in church, yeah i work but in the edge of my wrapper (if you have an African granny that ties wrapper you will know that's where all the good stuff is) i had nothing new just recycled stuff. So i saw this  Joyce Meyer  3030 challenge , i signed up and hoped for the best. I knew there was a but when i did not sign up for the daily reminder but the weekly one ( unread inbox message troubles don't ask)...

Today I choose YOU!!!

Today i choose to wait       It may not be the popular or conventional choice,  but your plan Q is far better than my plan A** anyday. Today i choose to hope       It can only be delayed it can never be denied.  It is within your power to turn things around in my favour. Today i choose to love,        Its only in His nature that I can understand His fullness and  live the life He has called me to. Tempest raging, fires flaring with earnest yearning, I wait for your salvation.  You are the anchor to my soul, my hope and stay.                                                                        - Me. Had quite a number of pendulum moments this weekend and I had to keep reminding myself that head or tail I win not because I can, ...

Beauty of the eye

So i love looking at wedding pictures. For me its a beautiful thing to see all the effort put into creating new beginnings.  Particularly love wedding photographers because you must be a beautiful person to be able to capture most of the emotions that go into the whole event.  The way it is solemn and beautiful at the same time, the exchange of vows, the preparation to lose yourself and identity to someone else.  The selflessness of being willing to share your life with someone that you have no guarantee will turn out alright but you just believe that as long as there's you it is fine.  The loss of a parent that gives away a child, you can never tell if your child just brought home a paedophile or an insane person and is passing some weird heritage into your lineage, i mean their children will be your grandchildren. But you have to trust that on the dark and gloomy days they will have each other and they will be enough. The couple that says the vo...
