A lil something on the marriage issue

Isaiah 34:16-17 New International Version (NIV)

16  Look in the scroll of the Lord and read:

None of these will be missing,
not one will lack her mate.
For it is his mouth that has given the order,
and his Spirit will gather them together.
                           17  He allots their portions;
his hand distributes them by measure.
                                 They will possess it forever
and dwell there from generation to generation.
I chose NIV because people say it pretty easy to read.

In this whole marriage marathon, we are encouraged to go out, dress nice, be approachable, but are those really pointers for finding your "ÇATCH"? (vex not some people have turned it to survivor UK or in this case Mbiaso)

The preceeding verses speak of a land filled with wild things in fact a verse described it as an empty wasteland (expanded bible version). Just on top of this it says hawks will gather to their own kind, owls will nest, lay eggs and gather their young ( what's your kind? that's an aside let's focus)
Then look at the Lord's scroll and read. None is missing and none will be without mate ( Chere biko when next you want to quote this remember squirrel and things were in the same chapter, you might want to quote it properly *wink*).

So in a deserted place, where things are moving for people that seemingly have nothing on you (squirrel, hyena, wild goats (it was in my bible)). When you need to compare your journey find out what God is saying and READ it.

Has God given you the command? Is it His Spirit that gathered you together or it's work, payroll, surname, the need to be married, same church, same class?
No matter how much you hustle God has already shared the inheritance since BY MEASURE not by what you think, feel, look like, want, deserve. God knows what you are about anyway. Let's just say He maintains my lot.

THEY WILL POSSESS FOREVER
Not for 3 weeks or 2 months or 5 years or 10years ( Yeah Awon Lord of the rings them, BOOm boxes nkan gben ye) and instead of generations my bible says year by year so he's interested in chronicling your growth, he has chronicled your love, factored in your aging tendencies and included that in the specs meaning every area is covered.

So please every angle is covered. Shall we now share the grace and rest?

NB:
1. Please don't be offended my day job is in English and well let's just say at night, for now it has something to do with Yoruba Ehwun Tanks
2. Vex Not: Do not be offended
3. Mbiaso : The name of my village
4. Chere Biko : Please wait, aka Hol'up
5. Awon : More like 'Those'
6. Lord of the rings : Engaged for more than two years and you are not nearer to the altar than when he first put a ring on it, because there is no plan.
7. Boom boxes : They have a new boo every 2 weeks more like speed booing rather speed dating.
8. Nkan gben ye: Things like that

My Gratitude Journal

Today I have decided to switch things up a little bit. I want to thank you for testimonies that seem like a lie. All of them are a result of your goodness and benevolence to me and mine. Especially in this season where people are judging the seasons if their lives by what is being said on the NEWS and in the stock market. I judge your faithfulness by the goodness I have enjoyed in and out of season. My cruise of oil has not run out neither has my barn of wheat dried up. You have been faithful and good in every area of my life. This picture depicts the condition of my heart, joy, gratitude and nothing more. God is dependable.

A Long Way From Home (1) - Where is home?

I am learning that God brings you out of your comfort zone and safety net just to have you all to himself. Is it funny?, NOO. Is it Easy?, Not in the least. The longest part is when he is stripping you of you. Try compounding that with becoming a housewife in a new country after being in back to back employment for 10 years. A first time mom with a new child that is also trying to figure out this earth experience with you. There are days you will feel like you are trapped in your home, moving from bedroom to parlor, and back to the bedroom, pacifying a new baby, and looking for a pacifier yourself. Today was one of those days, I had really hoped that I could live a little through the stories of a workday but if wishes were horses.  Then after getting her royal highness to sleep, you have to struggle with a computer screen, at some point, you just drop everything and begin to look inwards. That's right after the filtering noises of a club playing music sounds like an old companion, ...

WAITING

I have been a mom for two months and I think my greatest challenge has been waiting. Waiting during the pregnancy period and wondering what the baby would look like,  what delivery will feel like,  will the things I bought be enough? Then the child comes and everything is meant to align to her timetable. Sleep when she is sleeping they say, do they remember Deborah has a work deliverable waiting on you? Sleep when she is sleeping they advise, that is except you are preparing their lunch, then you can stay awake, finish cooking, serve and clean the kitchen. Then there is the ministry of helps that you are not sure how to receive. They can only help you in their convenience which is kind of confusing because you do not really need the kind of help they are offering and the next thing you hear is "Use all the help you get" After some time, you get to a point where you are in a rhythm you don't know how it started but it doesn't reflect what you do and you are focused on ...
