I was a bit jealous when my neighbour and some friends (actually her friends i was meant to attach myself ) went for a girly date and i couldn't go.
The plan was to roam round the mall, watch a movie and head home. But being local girls like myself (No offence ladies) a particular somebody was almost passing out in her heels so they bought dunlop (actually flats), then watched Lucy because her name is Lucy (don't worry, they don't know your surname) and came home.
When I asked about the movie, they didn't sound too pleased (No thanks to iroko and the likes).
Fast forward a month later and i see free wireless, and lucy (don't do illegal ish). I downloaded it with mixed feelings
Suddenly the movie started (popcorn less, movie dateless and sodaless), but i was grateful that i wasn't in the cinema. I have not yet recovered (literally). It brought home a Sunday School lesson (or at least what they had been trying to teach us anyways).
A girl going on her dandy way till you meet someone and something is deposited inside you.
Initially, your plan was for it to be contained, not contained like hidden in plain sight but you thought it meant editing a fine script little did you realise that you just switched tracks and changed lanes. You were just meant to transport the 'package' from one location to the other, they have nothing on you, you are just the delivery truck.
The calm, happy-go-luck, regular girl became a feisty individual overnight. You really don't look any different on the outside but something has changed in you.
The more you research about your new life, the better adjusted you are to the change that you are experiencing. This means the better you can handle yourself, you have to learn new life skills so that you can adapt to the new nature that you have received.
The more you interact with this life, the more you feel like an outlier because you don't appeal to the regular stuff anymore. In her case, the evolution was rapid but with most people it takes way longer.
Now let me bring it home, when you hear stuff like

'You have this treasure in earthen vessel'
'The greater one is on your inside'
They refer to a kind of life that you have received. It cannot be contained, it must change you. The change is not always instantaneous, but there will be change and in the end you will know that it is different. The life you have will consume you from the inside out and you will never be the same again.
